What you get for $12.

These are the terms for buying and using Ticking Along. If a line here reads oddly, email us and we'll explain it.

Who we are

Ticking Along is made and sold by Scalar Labs Pty Ltd, an Australian company. Wherever these terms say "we", that's who we mean.

The licence

One purchase ($12) buys a licence for you to use Ticking Along, both the Mac and the Windows version, on the computers you use. It's yours to keep. There's no subscription, and nothing expires.

Things you can do

• Use it on your own computers, including a work computer you're allowed to run programs on.
• Carry it on a USB stick between the computers you use.
• Keep using the version you bought for as long as you like.

Two things we ask

• Don't share your copy or licence key with other people. Each person needs their own licence.
• Don't sell, rent, or bundle Ticking Along with something else.

About your workplace's rules

Ticking Along keeps your status matching the fact that you're at your desk, working. Whether outside software is welcome on a particular computer is between you and whoever owns that computer. If you're not sure, ask them. Nothing is installed, so taking it off again is a matter of deleting a folder.

Where our promise stops

Ticking Along is tested on every change we make. Even so, it's sold as-is: computers and workplaces differ, and we can't promise it suits every setup. If it doesn't suit yours, ask for your money back within 30 days (see refunds). Our liability to you is limited to the price you paid.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle, our payment partner and the "merchant of record". Paddle runs the checkout, charges your card, works out any tax, and sends the receipt. Their side of the deal is in Paddle’s buyer terms.

Changes

If these terms change, the date below changes with them, and the changelog will say so. We won't take away anything you've already bought.
